Today we celebrate Michael Carter at his 68th birthday (born 1947)
Michael Carter was born in Scotland, United Kingdom. He played Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi. To put on the make-up as Bib Fortuna took over eight hours in the beginning of the five-week shoot. By the end of the five weeks the make-up process was streamlined down to 58 minutes. Michael Carter think it’s weird that Bib Fortuna is much more famous than he is and that he still get letters from Star Wars fans.
Bib Fortuna is Jabba the Hutts attendant. His life probably ended on the sail barge when Luke Skywalker blows it up at the Great Pit of Carkoon.
